TNB Fuel Services Sdn. Bhd. is a Malaysia company that has been in operation since September 1998. The main focus of the company is to fulfil any requirements arising from the purchase and supply of fuel and coal for power generation to Tenaga Nasional Berhad's group of companies, or any independent power producers (IPP) who are in a power purchase agreement with TNB.
The business nature of TNB Fuel requires a majority of the staff to be outside of the office. The existing attendance system at TNB Fuel demanded the staff to key in the attendance manually into the system, without any tools to verify the attendance data. Whenever a staff works at the site, the Management has no way to trace the staff's location, as well as attendance data of staff who works outside of the office. The biometrics system they have is not entirely connected, making the process to attendance data collection tedious and complicated.
